When peppers, and cherry tomatoes are at their peak, there’s nothing like enjoying vegetable pizza. Of course, the vegetable pizza recipe can be used to feature almost any vegetables Store-bought crescent roll dough makes a quick and easy pizza. You can use whatever veggies you like best, and you can steam them lightly or leave them raw. You can use any combination of chopped veggies and cheeses-whatever your family likes.
Ingredients:
For pizza dough:
- 225 gm self raising flour( Maida)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp dried yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 150 ml warm water
For topping:
1 large sized onion, chopped400 gm pizza sauce
1/2 medium red bell peppers, sliced thin( capsicum)
1/2 medium green bell peppers sliced thin ( capsicum)
1/2 medium yellow bell peppers, sliced thin ( capsicum)
1 cup button mushrooms sliced
Handful of olives sliced
Handful of cherry tomatoes sliced
Carrots
1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Italian Parmesan
Method:
Mix the salt and oil in the flour.
Mix dry yeast and sugar in warm water. stir until the sugar and yeast get mixed. leave it at warm place for 30 minutes.
Meanwhile prepare the ingredients for topping.
Make a hole at the center of the flour mix and pour the mixture of yeast in the hole after 30 minutes. Mix the flour and yeast liquid slowly and make an elastic semi soft dough( mix extra water if you need).
You have kneed very well to make the dough elastic and this is needed to get a fluffy soft pizza base or crust.
smear a little oil on the dough,cover it with moisten cotton cloth and leave in warm place for 1 hour to raise it double in size.
After one hour dust some flour and roll out the dough to form a circle about 25 cm in diameter.
Spread the pizza sauce over the pizza base evenly.
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly .
Arrange the chopped onion, bell peppers,mushrooms and olives one by one on the base.
Cover with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Transfer the roll on a 9×13 inch baking sheet.
Preheat a oven 375 degree Fahrenheit and bake the pizza about 12 minutes or until the crust or base turned golden and cheese are melted and form bubbles.
Take out the cooked pizza from the oven and let it cool a little before serving.

Note:
If you can kneed the well and good. otherwise you can buy ready made refrigerated pizza dough or pizza base from the super store. Now-a-days whole wheat crusts or base are also available in the market. I usually make pizza from store bought base or dough.
If you don`t have pizza sauce you can use pesto sauce or salsa mixed with herb such as basil, oregano,crushed garlic, roasted red chilli and sun dried tomato,otherwise you can make base sauce at home.
Some people use fried vegetable instead of raw. I use raw because it`s less fat and more healthy. You can use your own choice.
You can use any kind of fried or raw vegetable of your own taste and make it more spicy with crushed red chilli.
I have used the basic vegetables which is usually get used.
Oven temperature varies from oven to oven.
